A member asked:

Bilateral pelvic pain, abdominal pain during intercourse, acne, and family history of pcos. normal pelvic exam and thyroid. is pcos a likely cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Your workup is incomplete. This could be endometriosis as well. You need much more blood work and likely a pelvic US to help determine if PCOs or something else. If sexually active an STD and infection check may be warranted. The acne of PCOs is usually fairly severe and over a large portion of the body, so yours may or may not be related.
