Yes: This is called Puberphonia. hormonal changes in adolescence cause the adams apple and vocal cords to enlarge> causing a deeper voice. For various reasons sometimes a high pitched voice persists. You may want to check with your family Dr to be sure there is no hormonal cause. Therapy is provided by a speech therapist experienced in treating Puberphonia.
