It depends on the type: There are a variety of different types of vasculitis. Some are very serious so the type is very important. We have people who have involvement internally this sometimes this can cause organ failure and even death. And others have had complete cures. Thus you can see the type you have is the type of treatment you get is very important.

many types and caus: Vasculitis is basically an inflammation of the blood vessels. There are many different causes and of course many different types of treatment. Your physician should tell you it is due to artery or vein disease and of course what is the underlying cause. Treatment may range from steroids to nsaids (advil) to compression to observation.
