A member asked:

Does a +p-anca in a pt with sle mean they automatically have vasculitis or just that they are at risk for it ? wat are the implications for treatment

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maynot mean anything: That depends on the clinical and other lab. Usually we don't see anything for him people with SLE, and if it's there it may not be related to the pathogenesis of SLE or of the diagnosis may not be SLE. Rarely I guess that you could have a overlap syndrome
