Sometimes: Some people will have irregular spotting when they first start a birth control pill. It could happen at any time during the pill pack. However, it should improve within about 3 months. If not, it might not be the right pill for you. Don't stop it. Continue to take it while you work with your provider to find another pill to try. Try to take pills at same time every day.
