Would it be harmful/bad to place vaseline on my hair and/or my scalp? is it ok to put it on your face?

Vaseline not harmful: Vaseline is petrolium jelly and is not harmful for the hair or face. Most consider it a moisturizer, because it traps moisture from escaping from the skin and hair follicle. However- Petroleum Jelly has some dehydrating qualities. So if you are looking for moisturizing, jojoba oil is most similar to natural hair oil ( sebum). For the face, oils can clog pores and create breakouts.
