Wondering why is the dose for mebendazole the same (100 mg) for 130 pound adult and a 30 pound child?

Mebendazole: Yes it is true, the dose of mebendazole is 100 mg , once & may repeat after 2 wks for pinworm infestation, 100 mg twice a day for 3 days for other forms of parasitic worm infestation. I hope that answers your question. Good luck

Absorption : Mebendazole is not available in the U.S. Since it works in the gut on the parasite and is only 5-10% absorbed, doses are fixed based on the parasite being treated and so is the duration. Suggest be careful in the prep u take if purchased outside U.S. Pharmacy.
