None: There's no X-ray study that can DIAGNOSE TBI. There is no radiographic study in general that can DIAGNOSE TBI. They are working on that problem but so far nothing is available for commercial use that has the sensitivity and specificity necessary to use as a reliable diagnostic tool. MRI: There are a number of specialized MRI techniques that are used to search for markers of TBI. Immediately after a head injury, CAT scan is used to rule out acute bleeding. Later on MRI is the study of choice.
