Dermatologist : You should get this mole examined by a dermatologist. Suspicious nevi and melanomas tend to be ABCD: assymetric, have irregular borders, has different colors, and tend to be >1cm in diameter. Another is E: evolving, where a normal appearing mole starts changing in size, shape, color or becomes raised. Since your mole is uneven color (C), the doctor will more than likely do an excisional biopsy.

Derm: Better safe than sorry. Since the problem to be worried about is melanoma, always err on side of caution.
