I have a superficial wound on my face, caused by a fall...how many days should i avoid sun exposure?

Shouldn't worry: Be careful about using a sunscreen while the wound is open. As it closes a sunscreen will be useful to prevent the new tissue from overexposure.

I'M: NOT CERTAIN why you were told to avoid the sun unless you abraded a large area of skin....If so scabbing will develop after which sun exposure is harmless! PS USE A BLOCKER if you can! Hope this helps! Dr Z

WOUND ON FACE: YOU SHOULD WAIT A FEW DAYS AT WHICH TIME IT WILL KNIT TOGETHER. NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE IT, I WOULD GUESS THREE OR FOUR DAYS. BEST LUCK.
