Nonspecific: More of a description is needed to make a differential diagnosis. Is there an injury,tenderness,deformity,discoloration,pain only on motion? The discomfort could come from the joint,skin,ligaments,tendon. Your physician can evaluate the finger and decide whether an xray is indicated.
