Perhaps: Not necessarily. Sinus tachycardia for example is supraventricular tachycardia. It's not always indicative of an accessory pathway. Would try to get more information on what was noted and what kind of svt was seen on your electrocardiogram.

SVT: can occur as a single, never repeated event! You should, however, determine and remove the "triggering" event for such an episode ( eg Overactive Thyroid etc) Hope this helps! Dr Z
