A member asked:

How can you tell which kind of an svt someone has? is ecg enough to see it? thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No : An ECG is perfect if you happen to catch the svt during the 6 second tracing. For instance, if you have svt, rush to the er, and they do an ecg, they can diagnose the exact type of svt easily. Otherwise, you need a prolonged period of monitoring to see a sample of the suspect rhythm.
