Billions: Most probiotics have bilions of CFUs per pill or capsule by the company's report. The problem is quality control. Only live bacteria provide any potential benefit and it is difficult to know from one product to the next how many of the purported bacteria are actually alive. More importantly it is what bacteria than the actual number that is important. Few controlled studies.

These are important!: The qualities of a good probiotic are the number of good bacteria per capsule and the number of species of good bacteria! 10 billion with ten strains is what to try for! Would be hard to overdose. Some have 50 billion good bacteria, but you pay for it!

Probiotics: Please focus more on the number of strains rather than the CFUs. The interaction of the various strains is what is most helpful. Dr. Ohira is a good brand but more expensive than some others. Peace and good health.
