Unknown : However, in the entity "tako-tsubo" cardiomyopathy, which is thought to be stress-induced, one pathophysiologic mechanism is considered to be catecholamine or adrenergic stimulation. Therefore , adrenaline surges long term could likely cause cardiomyopathy in the face of no other aetiology.
