Maybe too much sleep: Most adults need only about 7-8 hrs sleep per night. You could possibly be sleeping too long for your body, or your mattress might be to blame. Try sleeping a bit less, get up if you wake and are in pain and see if it goes away. Get a firm, supportive mattress and put your legs up on pillows. OTOH, if you have tiredness and just don't feel well generally, you should get checked for arthritis

Oy,MyAchingBack!: Did you confuse your age numbers? Sure you're not 72? Check your mattress, your work habits, your posture, how you exercise (and if you don't: start!),diet, amount of stress in your life and if nothing adds-up then see a doctor to find out if you have a medical problem (maybe a form of arthritis or myalgia syndrome, etc).Take a nice hot bath before bed and a couple of Motrin, and stretch in the a.m.
