Need more history: First of all is this problem in both legs? Is there a history of trauma to the leg or back? If symptoms are bilateral then something like peripheral neuropathy could be considered. It usually starts in foot sole and moves proximally. If there is history of trauma then a process like RSD/CRPS could be considered and people express hyperalgesia, allodynia, Lumbar radiculopathy is also possible.
