It's very common: HSV 1 is common in more than 50% of individuals. Unfortunately there's no cure, but there are measures you can take to prevent outbreaks (the bumps from forming). Outbreaks usually occur when under stress, high winds, cold, low sleep, and lowered immune system (sick). Sleep well, eat well, and try not to stress and you will have considerably less outbreaks.
