Wash less; use cream: Eczema can be treated by increasing the moisture in the skin, by using creams such as CeraVe or Cetaphil. Hydrocortisone 1% cream is over-the-counter, and can be used twice a day for about 5 days. If the eczema is not better by then, a doctor needs to look at the rash. If the rash is better, then the hydrocortisone can be used once a day for a few more days. Should avoid over-washing the skin.
