See below: Esophageal cancer usually presents itself with symptoms of difficulty swallowing, hematemesis is unusual as an early symptoms. Esophagitis can cause hematemesis. Sometimes forceful vomiting can cause tears in the mucosa where the stomach and esophagus meet and cause bleeding(Mallory-Weiss Syndrome). Consult with your physician for a proper diagnosis.
