Listen buddy: If you have to ask, it's time to get tested for HIV. Every guy your age and older should probably get a quick HIV screen yearly. I'm betting, though, that the white stuff on your tongue is crud that will come off with a swipe of a piece of taut dental floss. If it hurts and/or just won't come off, get seen. Love safely, keep avoiding IV drugs, and get with your physician for an answer.
