Transdermal : Is the preferred route for estradiol administration because it avoids the liver's first pass. The patch is the most commonly used form of transdermal. I personally like pellets but would recommend a trial of patches first. Once the pellets are placed they are there for 3-4 months. A patch can be removed at any time.
