Overweight?: If she is overweight then this needs to be addressed. Usually overeating in her age group is a habit and can be broken by finding better activities for her to do and creating new healthier habits. Keep her moving, interested and engaged and she will probably forget about eating. If she is underweight she needs evaluation by a pediatrician.

Eating: She may just be going through a growth spurt, but sometimes it can be " emotional eating" if there are stressors in the household or at school, many children comfort themselves with food.
