Depends on CD4, VL: Hmm... not sure I want to help with this sort of question. Why would you (or someone close to you?) with HIV stop taking medications for it? If you are depressed or otherwise upset, please get counseling. That said, the "average" life span is impossible to say without knowing things like your CD4 count and viral load (VL). Anywhere from a few months to 20 years, but probably usually 2-5 years.
