Depends on CD4, VL: Hmm... not sure I want to help with this sort of question. Why would you (or someone close to you?) with HIV stop taking medications for it? If you are depressed or otherwise upset, please get counseling. That said, the "average" life span is impossible to say without knowing things like your CD4 count and viral load (VL). Anywhere from a few months to 20 years, but probably usually 2-5 years.

I am 47 yrs old. I've never taken a drug in my life (except prescription and OTC like Benedryl and sleep aids and melatonin etc). I came up positive on my urine drug screen. My meds can cause false positives but my boss won't believe me?
At my grandmas rehab center, id see that the aids did all the work and the lpns told them what to do, and the rns passed out drugs. Is that the way its done?
