Sore throat : Do you have fever? One sided sore throat with referred pain to the ear need to be checked by your doctor ASAP, it could be tonsillitis, or peritonsillar abscess which is a serious condition that requires immediate treatment with IV antibiotics & sometimes incision of the abscess , if you can't see your doctor today go to ER, please do not delay. I hope it is just a throat infection. Good luck
