A member asked:

Can the medication "clomid" be used to treat pcos patients or is this medication used only on patients with infertility problems?

PCOS treatment: Clomid (clomiphene) is used when you are trying to get pregnant and is used more in patients with pcos for this purpose. It is also used for patients with unexplained infertility. In both situations, the goal is to increase the chance or number of eggs ovulated. If you are not trying to get pregnant, then Clomid (clomiphene) would not be used to treat patients with pcos.
