A member asked:

Are there any health risks associated with hypnosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally, no.: Hypnosis can help with relaxation, smoking cessation, food monitoring, etc., although its efficacy is usually less than a more comrehensive treatment. Hypnosis itself is not harmful unless the (unethical) hypnotist tricks you. Then you might be vulnerable. Pick your therapy partners wisely.
