A member asked:

I have a contortionist character in my book, if they bent in certain ways, is it possible to crush internal organs, causing internal bleeding?

No: Within the abdomen, the more rigid organs, such as liver, spleen and kidneys are pretty well protected by the ribs, the muscles and spine. The more pliable organs, such as intestine, bladder, stomach are in the area of bending. Therefore a contortionist, where they bend in the mid abdomen, would be unlikely to have any organ damage.
