Variety: The basis of a healthy diet (vegetarian or not) should be a wide variety of vegetables, preferably organic-try vegies of all colors as colors represent key nutrients. Adequate protein is important, from beans, nuts, seeds, organic dairy & eggs. A moderate amount of fruit- limit tropical fruits. Moderate whole grains. Avoid fried & GMO foods. Take a good multivitamin. See http://tinyurl.com/d96qjqn
