My daughter is 9 and is a competitive gymnast. recently she has been complaining of right ankle pain. she says it burns and hurt. x-ray. no break?

Rest: It could be tendon damage so she should rest until the pain subsided.

Do you mean she had: an Xray and there is no break? She should see an orthopedist, preferably a pediatric or sports medicine orthopedist. She may need an MRI to see what's wrong and be properly treated...and avoid long term complications.

She might : Have a nerve entrapment. There are specific spots that bend to entrap.....one is a few inches above the ankle for example...try seeing if she can pin point a specific spot where the pain emanates from,
