Contact allergy: Most likely you're allergic to the nickel in the earring or the stud. Nickel is a common causes of metal contact dermatitis. Go "earring-free" for a few days while using a gentle cleanser & OTC cortisone cream. When the bumps go away, wear only stainless steel, solid (12+ carat) gold & silver earrings, and place a plastic cover over the skin-side of the stud. Good luck with this!
