SIJ Belt: Pregnant with back & pelvic pain seeks relief. During pregnancy an hormone, Relaxin, is released & which loosens pelvic ligaments, oft leading to sacroiliac joint hypermobility & pelvic/low back pain from ligament stretch. A partial solution is a sacroiliac joint belt, which has been shown by Dr Andry Vleeming & associates to stabilize this joint and thereby ameliorate pain during pregnancy.

Pelvic pressure: A maternity support belt might help and can be prescribed by your OB/CNM. tylenol (acetaminophen) and heat may also help. Rest may eleviate some of the pressure. Since its now Monday, you may want to call your OB provider when the office opens and describe your symptoms in case he/she wants to rule out contractions.
