Dr prescribed 2.5 mg hydrocortisone 3 x a day. i took the first dose at 4 this afternoon andnow have a dry cough. from pill? dangerous or no big deal?

Unlikely: At this dose, I'd doubt hydrocortisone causes any noticeable effects. At a much much higher dose, cortisone may worsen your reflux leading to a dry cough. I don't believe they are related.

No not dangerous: you already have reflux, and you are on omeprazole, that would control your reflux/reflux related cough which might be induced by steroids, not with this low dose hydrocortisone though, try to take the last dose early in the evening to avoid insomnia which can be due to steroids, all the best
