ICE: Ice is a purified form of methamphetamine. It is not the crystals I would be worried about but major toxicity to the heart, lung and brain. They should seek help and stop. This is a very dangerous drug. The pain they feel is not crystals but injury to the Lung tissue. http://www.narconon.org/ is a site with resources. Get them help ASAP and help them stop!
