It could be: Needle like sticking pain in the left lower quadrant could be due to ovulation but it could also be due to the irritation of a nerve or a musculoskeletal problem. If it is ovulation, it should resolve over the next few days. If it doesn't, you need to be seen to check it out. Hope this helps.
