Depends on test: There are several HSV IgG antibody tests, with different numbers for positive results. The most common is HerpeSelect®, for which 9.9 is strongly positive. For other tests this may be negative. If you have the lab report, it should show numbers for negative, indeterminate, and positive, separately for HSV1 and HSV2. Or contact and discuss with the doctor or lab where test was done. Good luck!
