Good question!: Took some research. Both hospital and home urine pregnancy tests are very sensitive. Hospital tests are generally considered more reliable but this fact was disputed in an article in the journal of Clinical Chemistry January 2014 http://www.clinchem.org/content/60/4/667.full where false negatives were found in a high number of tests from 5-7 weeks of pregnancy. A blood HCG test is most accurate.
