Both equally good: It is best to do a HPT 4-5 days after a missed period. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.

Blood tests: Even though the urine tests for the pregnancy hormone are very good, if you are still concerned then a quantitative blood test will tell if there is any pregnancy hormone present.
