Calf swollen and painful for 3 weeks. i had a ddimer and 2 dopplers, all negative. doctor says must be muscular. what could it be and what could i do?

Other dx than DVT: Not all calf pain is due to DVT. Ruptured Baker's cyst (ganglion cyst behind knee), calf muscle injury, venous insufficiency problems along with other issues could also cause similar symptoms. Trial of anti-inflammatory medicine and physical therapy for 2-3 weeks a good idea. If no better or worse then need re-eval and possible additional imaging. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr R
