Unrelated to cancer: Abdominal pain is not frequently related to recurrent cancer as such. Liver involvement, nodal disease that has recurred seldom cause pain. If surgery was performed or if disease now involves wall of the bowel and torsion results with partial bowel obstruction, the resulting abdominal pain can be severe. CAT scan of abdomen can be helpful in defining cause. and treatment.
