PCOs: Polycystic ovarian disease is a hormonal imbalance disorder that has to have 2 of the 3 of the following: 1. not ovulating causing absent or irregular periods 2. evidence of elevated androgens leading to hirsutism 3. polycystic ovaries (12 or more immature eggs cysts on each ovary). It is a diagnosis of exclusive because many other things act like it and many patient are obese & have prediabetes
