Kidney nodule/mass: A dedicated kidney CT or MRI can be used if not done before to determine if it is a simple cyst (benign) or complex cyst or solid. Statistically, the later two have increased risk of being renal cell cancer even in 2cm size. If it is a simple cyst, no need for further work-up. If it is a complex cystic lesion or a solid contrast enhanced nodule, then see urologist for further evaluation.

Cyst: Nodule is a bit hard to decipher. Cyst or mass are 2 most probable. If a solid mass and is 2 cms would seek a urologist input and they may advise further mgt. A simple cyst may not need intervention. Suggest a discussion with your ordering doc and seek more input. Hope it helps.
