Treatment: conservative measures may be indicated initially with stool softeners and a high fiber diet. if you have bleeding then colonoscopy should be done for completion. do not assume bleeding is just from hemorrhoids. There are several treatment options which include banding, infrared light and circular stapled hemorrhoidectomy with proctopexy as well as standard surgical hemorrhoidectomy
