I have a large mucous retention cyst in my sinus cavity. what is this, would it cause the headaches i've been having lately, and what's the treatment?

We see them often: Causes of retention cysts are unknown; as much as we think allergy plays a role others appear to have no association. . Usually they aren't painful themselves; but they can enlarge, block passages and contribute to formation of sinus infections, similar to nasal polyps. Headaches? Maybe. Depends. Usually not. Options: oral steroids, surgery, allergy shots; some recommend do nothing. See ENT.
