Not if: you're trying to lose weight! just be careful taking in that much water especially if you're drinking other beverages as well. There is such a thing as "too much water."

Cut down: There is no advantage of drinking 64 oz of water. If you have good kidney function, one needs to drink enough water basically to be determined by how thirsty you are. Excess of anything is bad including water.
