Long list?!: Confirm diagnosis, keep a headache diary, avoid trigger factors, take medications to prevent and one of the tryptans for the treatment of acute attacks if ordinary pain pills don't work, if frequent must see a neurologist.

Find real cause.: Since most headaches are not migraines, with 85% of all headaches coming from cervical problems, the treatments are varied, depending on the underlying issues that are causing the headache symptoms. There are many interventions such as ice/heat, stretching, massage, pt, medications (otc and rx), injections, all based on your underlying pathology.
