Muscle twitching: If there is no underlying disease in muscle, then what you described may be due to temporary pressure on nerves and/or brief decrease in blood supply to the affected muscles. One or both may cause temporary irritation to the muscle manifested by twitching. This is normal. See your doctor if this continues long after pressure is removed and/or position has changed.
