This sounds like an: inflamed lymph node, possibly related to the gum inflammation. Did the dentist say there was an infection? Put you on antibiotics? You may want to also see your primary care physician, if you did not get an antibiotic. If you did, you can also take ibuprofen and followup with the dentist or your doctor if not improving.

More info: Get back to the Dentist or see a Root Canal Specialist for further evaluation. You may be describing an abscess which indicates the need for root canal therapy to solve the problem. Any exudate (pus) from the lump ? Pain ? Does it change in size ? See the specialist(Endodontist) if you answered yes to any of these. You may also have a poorly fitting crown which needs replacement. Good luck.

Gum inflammation: The crown and bacteria irritate the surrounding gum tissue creating areas of gum inflammation. This can lead to pain, inflammation, and bleeding near the crown and also enlarged, moveable lymph nodes. See your dentist for consultation and treatment.
