A member asked:

Would a pregnancy test most likely be accurate at 5 weeks pregnant or 35 days after conception?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Blood tests for HCG are generally accurate one day after a missed period. Urine tests are generally accurate at 5-7 days after a missed period. If negative, the urine test may need to be repeated in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
