A member asked:

How should you feel if you had a horrible mental disease ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: If the mental illness prevented your perception of others, you might feel fine. If your sense of social interaction is intact, then you would appreciate the difference and probably feel bad about it. Your reaction would also be altered by the type of medication you would be taking to control the problem.
